Unfolding [aero]space

Description

This study of pleating, or folding, techniques began by identifying a grid system. This figure was repeated to develop a configuration which could then be modified to regulate light, space, and form.

The adaptable nature of the pleats allowed for the accentuation of an aerospace research library at Harvard through the implementation of metaphorical wind-tunnel, ethereal atrium, and observatory.
