Planar Blending

Cardboard Deconstructivism
Description
Ultimately a study of light and shadow, the parameters for Planar Blending are established through carved spaces out of a cardboard mass composed of 40 sheets of cardboard 3/16" thick. The direction of light varies in axis from Z to Y, X to Y, and Y to Z. The variables--a, b, and c--are then assigned a directional movement of light according to the phenomena within the 3D space outlined in the physical cardboard artifact. These parameters are then blended parametrically to form a derivative of the original variable resulting in para-phenomena rendered in a digital model.
